Later in 2008 the Waratah and Thistle P & D are off on a trip to Scotland, a trip that will include sightseeing in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Mull where our Hornsby members will visit Lochbuie and Moy Castle (the home of the band tartan). The band will also be doing performances at Stirling Castle, Duart Castle, Frazer Castle and at Abernathy Highland Games and the Tain Highland Gathering. There may be a visit to a whisky distillery, as well as watching the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow and a performance of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Soon after we return, some of our members will be heading off again this time to Pipefest Japan in October.
